The Nashville Arts Coalition invites you to join us for “Exploring Creative Economies: Civic Models that Work” on Monday, November 6, from 5:30-7:30 pm at the Nashville Children’s Theatre.
5:30PM Welcome and Networking Reception
6:15PM Remarks from Mayor Barry
6:30PM Panel Discussion
The event brings together political, arts and civic leadership to showcase the major economic impact of the arts in Nashville and other communities that have thriving arts ecosystems by featuring guests from successful cities.
Mayor Megan Barry will give remarks, and the roundtable speakers include Robert Bush of the Charlotte (NC) Arts and Sciences Council, Karen Gahl-Mills of the Cuyahoga Arts & Culture in Cleveland (OH), Marcus Whitney of The Unlikely Company in Nashville, and Courtney Ross from the Nashville Chamber of Commerce. The conversation will be moderated by local artist Stephanie Pruitt, and incorporate findings from the Arts and Economic Prosperity 5 report released earlier this year.
Nashville Arts Coalition welcomes all from the Nashville community who wish to explore how Nashville can capitalize on a thriving creative community to attend this event, including Nashville Metro Council members, local business leaders, and arts supporters.
Free parking is available at the Nashville Children's Theatre. Light refreshments will be served at the event.
